Potty Training - Day 5 & 6

Well, Day 5 was not as great as other days. Conor wet his bed during nap time, but in his defense he didn't go potty after lunch. The last time he went was around 11:10, then had lunch and got up from nap around 4:00. So today I asked his Nanny to make sure he goes before nap, even if his nap is delayed!

But then the evening was even more of a challenge. I was alone with Conor and since you have to watch them like a hawk, it makes it almost impossible to do anything else, much less use the restroom yourself. So we struggled, b/c Conor says "Pee-Pee" and is holding himself so we run to the potty. Once we get there he either sits down and does nothing or says "nothing" even though it's obvious he has to go. He is being stubborn like his daddy! HA HA! But was must have done this about 18 times, before he finally gave in and went pee pee. Now normally this is just time consuming, but when you are 32 weeks pregnant and have a giant belly, and get winded easily b/c you are 20 lbs overweight right now, it's extremely tiresome. So I was worried I was going to send myself into labor! The good news is, he's not just doing it anywhere, he's just holding it until he decides he's ready!

Then, after dinner Conor had to poopie. This was an ordeal too b/c we made it in time, but he wouldn't finish. He would say "all done" and we'd flush and wave by bye bye to poopie, but then 2 minutes later he'd yell "poopie" and need to go back into bathroom. So this always happened before I was able to actually give him his rewards (goldfish) and clean up. He did this 4 different times, and each time got a little in his underpants b/c he wouldn't just sit and finish the task at hand! Sort of like his daddy in that he has a few home projects he has started, but not really finished! HA HA! Only kidding, well sort of!
Conor did wake up completely dry again this morning, so that's a huge plus!

So Day 6 has been off to a much better start! Tonight it will be Craig on his own, since I have a work function. Hoping their night goes better than last night!
